John Mackenzie Houston (10 October 1856 - 1932) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was John Mackenzie Houston (born c. 1823) from Glasgow, a cotton yarn dresser.[8]

His mother was Isabella Rennie (born c. 1825) from Glasgow.[9] John and Isabella married on 31 December 1844 in Glasgow.[10]

John Rennie Mackenzie Houston was born on 10 October 1856 in Glasgow.

His brother was the artist Charles Houston (born c. 1854)[11]
