Charles Houston (c. 1854 - 28 November 1937) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was John Mackenzie Houston (born c. 1823) from Glasgow, a cotton yarn dresser.[8]

His mother was Isabella Rennie (born c. 1825) from Glasgow.[9] John and Isabella married on 31 December 1844 in Glasgow.[10]

Charles Houston was born c. 1854 in Glasgow. In 1891 he was a carpet designer.[11]

His brother was the artist John Rennie Mackenzie Houston (born c. 1857)[12][13]

He died in 1937 at his home in 38 Burnside Road in Rutherglen on 28 November, aged 83.[14]
