Edmund Holt (c. 1836 - 21 September 1892) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Robert Holt, a master chimney sweep.
His mother was Jean Mitchell.
Edmund Holt, known as Ned, was born c. 1836.
He married Jane Black (c. 1838 - 4 December 1892) from Prestwick. They married on 5 November 1854 in Edinburgh.
Art

[edit]He died on 21 September 1892 in the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. He was knocked down by a cab on his return from Musselburgh races.[4]
