Archibald Campbell Holms (6 November 1862 - 11 November 1898) was a Scottish painter.[1][2] His name is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Alexander Campbell Holms.[3]
Life
[edit]His father was Archibald Campbell Holms [Snr] (22 October 1800 - 8 June 1889), a landowner and county registrar from Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire.
His mother was Marion Gilchrist (c. 1832 - 29 April 1908) from Paisley.[4] Archibald [Snr] married Marion in Dumbarton on 14 August 1855.
Archibald Campbell Holms was born on 6 November 1862 in Paisley.[5]
