Margaret Ross Grant (1894 - 8 May 1972) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was Thomas Grant (born 18 Auugust 1863), a baker and confectioner from Dalcairn, West Calder in West Lothian.
Her mother was Mary Robb (14 February 1872 - c. 1949) from Upper Heywood, Carnwath in Lanarkshire. Thomas and Mary married on 3 October 1893 in Carnwath.
Margaret Ross Grant was born in West Calder in 1894.
She married the artist Andrew Healey Hislop (1887 - 6 July 1954).[3] They married in West Calder on 1 September 1921.[4]
Their daughter Vivian Hislop was also an artist.[5]

[edit]She died on 8 May 1972 in Edinburgh at the Northern General Hospital. The funeral was on 10 May 1972.[6]
