James Watterston Herald (29 July 1859 - 17 October 1914) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was William Herald (born c. 1822), a shoemaker from Kinnettles, near Forfar.
His mother was Mary Watterston (born 18 January 1822) from Forfar. William and Mary married on 3 August 1856 in Forfar.
James Watterston Herald was born on 29 July 1859 in Forfar, Angus.

[edit]He died on 17 October 1914 in Arbroath. He died of cirrhosis of the liver.[3][4][5]
