William Hardie Hay (23 May 1859 - 5 February 1942) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was John Hay (c. 1830 - 3 November 1861), an architect.
His mother was Helen Elder Beith (born c. 1831) from Glenelg, Invernesshire. She was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Beith of Stirling. John and Helen married on 21 August 1853 at Allan Park, Stirling.[3]
William Hardie Hay was born at Parkfield Cottage, Birkenhead on 23 May 1859.[4][5]

[edit]He died on 5 February 1942 at Burlington House, 1658 Maryhill Road, in Glasgow.[8][9]
