Charles Halkerston (22 July 1828 - 4 February 1899) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was James Halkerston (c. 1787 - December 1841), a painter from Midlothian.
His mother was Janet Gibb (born c. 1793) from Midlothian. James and Janet married on 5 February 1810 in Edinburgh.
Charles Halkerston was born on 22 July 1828 in Edinburgh.

[edit]He died in Edinburgh at 3 Fettes Row on 4 February 1899. The value of his estate was given as £1847, 3 shillings and 10 pence.
