William Hackstoun (30 December 1855 - 8 June 1921) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Robert Haxton (born c. 1823) from Cupar in Fife.
His mother was Marion Mary Honeyman (4 May 1823 - 1889) from Markinch in Fife. Robert and Marion married on 18 December 1855 in Kennoway in Fife.
William Hackstoun was born on 30 December 1855 in Balbreakie, Kennoway.
He was descended from David Hackston.

[edit]He died on 8 June 1921 at 158 Hill Street, Charing Cross, Glasgow.[5]
