James Gilmour (6 April 1862 - 17 December 1937) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was George Gilmour (c. 1832 - 6 January 1911), a shawl manufacturer from Paisley.
His mother was Elizabeth Taylor (c. 1834 - 28 September 1873). George and Elizabeth married on 4 April 1854 in Paisley.
James Wilson Gilmour was born on 6 April 1862 at 140 George Street, Paisley.
He married Annie McLintock (c. 1866 - c. 1933) from Glasgow on 11 June 1891 at the Waterloo Rooms on Wellington Street, Glasgow.

[edit]He died on 17 December 1937 at his home on 43 Fernleigh Road, Cathcart, Glasgow. He died of an infarction of the lung and pericarditis.
