Robert Gibb (c.1803 - 22 September 1837) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

[edit]He was a foundation member of the Scottish Royal Academy.
Death
[edit]He died in Morningside Asylum, St. Cuthbert's parish, Edinburgh on 22 September 1837 at the age of 34, after a long and severe illness. [3] He was buried on 25 September 1837 in St. Cuthbert's cemetery, the burial book stating that his head lies north-east of lot no. 69 in the new south ground.
