Allan Ramsay (4 April 1852 - 8 October 1912) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was George Ramsay (16 January 1822 - 11 August 1907), a grocer from Forfar, Angus.
His mother was Ann Milne (15 May 1822 - 5 April 1865) from Forfar. George and Ann married on 20 September 1846 in Forfar.
Allan Ramsay was born on 4 April 1852 in Forfar.
He married Ann Lorimer (c. 1848 - 20 April 1886) from Ireland. They married on 11 October 1872 in Dundee.
After Ann died he remarried. He married Margaret Eaton Belford (c. 1851 - 15 March 1939) from Edzell. They married on 28 September 1887.

[edit]He died on 8 October 1912 at Edzell, Angus.[3] His estate was valued at £64.[4]
