Millie Frood (27 August 1900 - 27 March 1988) was an Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]Her father was John Thomson Frood (22 January 1862 - 27 October 1922), a hatter and hosier from Neilston, Renfrewshire, who became a Provost of Motherwell.
Her mother was Jessie McKenzie (c. 1877 - 14 September 1968) from Dalziel. John and Jessie married in 1899 in Dalziel.[2]
Their only daughter, Amelia Frood, known as Millie, was born on 27 August 1900 at Ben Lomond View, North Orchard Street, Motherwell.[3]

[edit]She died on 27 March 1988 at her home in Motherwell. The funeral was on 31 March 1988 at Daldowie Crematorium.[4]
