John Simpson Fraser (26 February 1855 - 10 December 1893) was an Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was James Fraser (c. 1823 - 10 July 1889), an auctioneer from Montrose.
His mother was Mary Clelland (c. 1818 - 2 December 1885) from Falkirk. James and Mary married on 28 July 1845 in Dundee.
John Simpson Fraser was born 26 February 1855 in Dundee.
He married Euphemia Burnett in Edinburgh in 1886.
