Anne Bannatyne Finlay (21 April 1898 - 17 October 1963) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]Her father was Alexander Bannatyne Finlay (21 April 1854- 10 September 1921), first an apprentice merchant, then a sheep farmer in Australia, he was originally from Leith, and died in Nairn. He was a Scotland international rugby union player.[2]
Her mother was Margaret F. A. Finlay.
Anne Bannatyne Finlay was born in Edinburgh on 21 April 1898.[3]
Art
[edit]Shen studied painting and drawing at the Edinburgh College of Art from 1917.[4]
Death
[edit]She died on 17 October 1963 in London at the Marie Curie Hospital. Her normal residence was 155 Sheen Road, Richmond, London.[5] Her estate was worth £7331.
