Alfred Sanderson Edward (c. 1852 - 1 May 1915) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was Charles Edward (27 November 1817 - 8 March 1890), an architect from Tealing in Forfar.
His mother was Elizabeth Sanderson (c. 1825 - 6 April 1859). Charles and Elizabeth married on 27 November 1849 in Dundee.
Alfred Sanderson Edward was born c. 1852 in Dundee.
He married Emily Susannah Lockwood (28 November 1853 - 22 April 1931) from Hackney in London. They married on 26 March 1878 at St. Mark's Church in Dalston, Hackney.

[edit]He died on 1 May 1915 in Puckeridge, near Braughing, east Hertfordshire in England. His gravestone states he died at the hut in Puckeridge. He is buried in the Western cemetery in Dundee.[3]
