Charles Lamb Davidson (4 July 1897 - 23 January 1948) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was Charles Davidson [Snr] (c. 1858 - 16 February 1933), a sculptor from Friockheim, Forfarshire.
His mother was Helen Lamb (c. 1858 - 28 September 1932) also from Friockheim. Charles [Snr] and Helen married in Friockheim on 15 June 1882.
Charles Lamb Davidson was born on 4 July 1897 in Brechin, Angus; their youngest son.
He was wounded and gassed in the First World War.[2]
He married Janet Nina Frame Miller (born c. 1895), known as Nina, an art teacher. They married in the Douglas Hotel at Blythswood, Glasgow on 3 July 1926.
Art
[edit]With his wife they specialised in stained glass window work.[3]
Death
[edit]He died on 23 January 1948 at Greendays, Thortonhall near East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.[4]
The funeral was at Paisley Crematorium on 26 January 1948.[5]
