Edwin Sherwood Calvert (1844 - 2 April 1898) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was James Calvert (born c. 1796) from London.
His mother was Maria Cassels (born c. 1808) from Ireland.
Edwin Sherwood Calvert was born in Glasgow c. 1844.
He married Florence Evangeline Lucy (1849 - 1920) from London. Florence was the daughter of the historical painter Charles Lucy.

[edit]He died on 2 April 1898 at 113 Douglas Street, Blythswood Square, Glasgow from heart disease.[2]
