Allan Buchanan (24 June 1828 - 25 February 1895) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was Allan Buchanan [Snr.] (c. 1795 - 21 May 1861), a general merchant from Glasgow.
His mother was Grace Crombie (15 May 1795 - 25 February 1883) from Edinburgh. Allan [Snr.] and Grace married on 20 March 1818 in Edinburgh.
Allan Buchanan was born on 24 June 1828 in Glasgow.
He married Margaret Smith Hutcheson (28 March 1831 - 31 January 1915) on 20 March 1864 in Govan, Glasgow.
