James L. Boyle (27 July 1870 - 15 January 1935) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was James Boyle [Snr.] (born c. 1848). He was a dyer, and at the time of his marriage was staying at 24 Barlow Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester.
His mother was Betsy Hay (born c. 1849), staying at 26 Abraham Street in Hulme, Manchester. James [Snr.] and Betsy married on 5 June 1870 in Manchester, England.
James Boyle was born on 27 July 1870 in Manchester, England. He was baptised at the Presbyterian church at Lloyd Street, Manchester.
He married Sarah Elizabeth (born 1872), from Stockport.[2]
They married in 1897 in Stockport, England.
They had a daughter Winifred Hay Boyle (born 1898), from Perth.

[edit]He died on 15 January 1935 at 6 Burnbank Terrace, Perth.[3]
His estate was valued at £443, 4 shillings and 6 pence.
