[edit]From The Scotsman of 17 December 1945:[3]
THE LATE MRS ROSE BLACK. — The death occurred yesterday of Mrs Rose Black, wife of Lieut.-Colonel Rose Black, of Leuchars, near Elgin. Mrs Black was widely known as a watercolour artist, and sales of her paintings in various centres, including London, raised considerable sums of money for charitable purposes. She was also an author, and her books "Impressions of Moray" and "Glimpses of Moray" with coloured reproductions of her paintings, found a ready sale.
Works
[edit]A substantial amount of her work was lost, after her death, when her former Leuchars House home caught fire on 3 May 1948.[4]
