Sydney Horne Shepherd (30 December 1909 - 18 July 1993) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Thomas Shepherd (30 April 1872 - 1942), a tobacconist from Glasgow.
His mother was Elizabeth Walker (25 June 1878 - 1944) from Edzell in Angus. Thomas and Elizabeth married in Dundee in 1907.
Sydney Horne Shepherd, usually known as Toby, was born in Dundee on 30 December 1909.
He married Flossie Borland Biggar. They married on 18 July 1933 in Glasgow and divorced in 1945.[3]
