Robert Sanderson (c. 1836 - 8 July 1918) was a Scottish painter[1][2]

His father was Robert Sanderson [Snr] (19 August 1809 - 14 January 1866), a wood carver from Edinburgh.

His mother was Caroline Ross (c. 1812 - 1874) from England. They married on 1 April 1831 in Edinburgh.

Robert Sanderson was born c. 1836 in Edinburgh.[10]

Robert Sanderson married Sarah Jacob (15 April 1838 - 31 March 1911). They married on 20 September 1859 in Edinburgh.[11]

He died at Woodburn Terrace, Pitlochry on 8 July 1918. His usual address was 6 Forrest Road, Edinburgh.[12]

He was buried on 11 July 1918 in Edinburgh.[13]
