His mother was Catherine Marchbank.[4]
James Marchbank Salmon was born in Edinburgh on 1 April 1916.[5][6]

[edit]He died on 12 May 1994 at his home Crofters in Wych Cross, East Sussex, England.
His estate was valued at £31,293.[7]
