John Ballantine Rollo (12 July 1803 - 19 January 1887) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Roger Rollo (6 April 1777 - 5 March 1847), a tax collector in Ayrshire.
His mother was Eliza Hunt (died 12 August 1826), daughter of 6th Regiment of Foot. Roger and Eliza married on 24 February 1801
John Ballantine Rollo was born on 12 July 1803 in Ayr.
He married Willhelmina Robertson (died 2 January 1838), daughter of Robert Robertson of Duncanziemere. They married on 13 April 1833 in Ayr.
He married Janet Gray (c. 1806 - 23 June 1868), daughter of John Gray. They married on 10 February 1839.
