John Roberts (3 July 1868 - 16 March 1946) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Hugh Roberts.

His mother was Agnes Paterson.

John Roberts was born on 3 July 1868 in Ladhope, near Galashiels in the Scottish Borders.[7][8]

He married Janet Lawrie Adam on 27 April 1895 at Craigmill House, Stirling.[9] Janet was the daughter of the artist Joseph Denovan Adam (19 September 1841 - 22 April 1896).[10]

He died on 16 March 1946 at Drummond Ldoge, Callander, Perthshire. He was buried in Callander cemetery on 19 March 1946.[11][12]
