John Irving Rennie (10 October 1872 - 4 February 1958) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life

1891 census - 17 Summerfield Terrace, Aberdeen - painter's apprentice[3]
1901 census - 17 Hartington Road, Aberdeen - house painter[4]
His father was John Rennie (born c. 1838) from Aberdeen.
His mother was Jane Irving (born c. 1842) from Speymouth. John and Jane married in 1871 in Banff.
John Irving Rennie was born on 10 October 1872 in Macduff, Aberdeenshire.[5][6]
He married Margaret Mackie Gordon. They married in Macduff in 1898.
Their daughter Margaret Gordon Rennie (born c. 1905) became an art teacher and married the artist Robert Hardie Condie in 1932.[7]
His brother was the artist George Melvin Rennie.

[edit]He died on 4 February 1958 at 27 Devanha Gardens in Aberdeen. The funeral was on 6 February 1958 at Springbank cemetery.[8]
