Hamish Reid (1930 - 2005) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was James Reid (born c. 1897), a railway clerk.

His mother was Andrewina Sinclair Calder (30 December 1899 - 1990), a publisher's clerkess from Mid Keiss in Caithness. James and Andrewina married on 14 August 1924 ay 9 Muirpark in Dalkeith.

Hamish Reid was born in Dalkeith in 1930.[3]
