Tom Pow (16 February 1909 - 6 November 1996) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Thomas Pow (born c. 1879), an insurance agent from Armadale in West Lothian.
His mother was Catherine Wardrop (born c. 1874) from Armadale. Thomas and Catherine married on 3 September 1907 in Armadale.
Tom Pow was born in South Street, Armadale, West Lothian on 16 February 1909. His twin sister Catherine Montgomery Pow was born later in the day.
Tom married Agnes Fyfe Black (17 January 1915 - 10 January 1998) from Edinburgh. They married on 24 July 1947 in Edinburgh.
His son Tom Pow [Jnr] (born 25 May 1950) is a poet and playwright.[3]
