Louise Ellen Perman (19 August 1853 - 5 March 1921) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was Frederick George Perman (1817 - 7 March 1900), a cotton merchant from London, England.
Her mother was Louisa Adams (16 November 1818 - 4 October 1906) from London, England. Frederick and Louisa married on 10 April 1844 in Walbrook, London.
Louise Ellen Mary Perman was born on 19 August 1853 in Birkenshaw cottage, Eastwood. Eastwood was then in Renfrewshire, but is now in Glasgow.[3]
She married the artist James Torrance (1859 - 1 March 1916) on 15 October 1912, after a long engagement. They married at The Glen in Helensburgh.[4][5]

[edit]She died on 5 March 1921 in Helensburgh. Her estate was valued at £24,103, 14 shillings and 8 pence.[7]
