William Watson Peploe (31 October 1869 - 18 March 1933) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Robert Luff Peploe (16 November 1828 – 6 October 1884), a bank manager, originally from Romford, England, who moved to Edinburgh.
His mother was Annie Hicock Watson (c. 1835 - 1874) from Campbeltown in Argyll. Robert and Annie married on 2 October 1867 in Campbeltown.
William Watson Peploe was born on 31 October 1869 in Edinburgh.
His brother was the artist Samuel John Peploe (27 January 1871 – 11 October 1935).

[edit]He died on 18 March 1933 in Edinburgh. He is buried in Dean cemetery, Edinburgh.
