John Henderson Tarbet (3 August 1864 - 20 December 1937) was a Scottish painter.[1]

Life

His father was James Tarbet (born c. 1837), a house painter from Forfar.

His mother was Euphemia McCulloch (born c. 1840 - 29 October 1916) from Edinburgh. James and Euphemia married on 26 April 1861 in Edinburgh.[4][5][6]

John Alexander Henderson Tarbet was born on 3 August 1864 in Edinburgh.[7]

He married the artist Christian Peddie in 1931 in Edinburgh.

Death

He died at 12 Atholl Place in Edinburgh on 20 December 1937. The funeral was on 23 December 1937 at Warriston cemetery.[8]
