James Dick Peddie (25 August 1857 - 20 December 1936) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life

His father was John Dick Peddie (24 February 1824 - 12 March 1891), an architect from Edinburgh.
His mother was Euphemia Lockhart More (born c. 1827 - 28 December 1885) from Edinburgh.
James Dick Peddie was born on 25 August 1857 in Edinburgh.
He married Caroline Louisa Stewart McKechnie MacNee (19 September 1848 - 30 March 1938) from Stornoway in Na h-Eileanan an Iar. Caroline was the youngest daughter of Peter Speirs MacNee of Glengilp. They married on 20 August 1894 at St. Cuthbert's parish church in Edinburgh.[6] Caroline died in West Kilbride, Ayrshire.[7]

[edit]He died at his home Chesnut Cottage in Beckley, East Sussex, England on 20 December 1936.[8] The funeral was on 23 December 1936 at Beckley parish church.
