George Miller Paterson (2 October 1846 - 2 August 1906) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Robert Paterson.

His mother was Ann Taylor (born c. 1815), a grocer from Auchterarder in Perthshire. Robert and Ann married on 7 June 1841 in Leith, Edinburgh. Ann at one point ran the Eagle Tavern in Riddle's Close, but it was put up for let in 1853.[9]

George Miller Paterson was born in south Leith, Edinburgh on 2 October 1846.[10] He was baptised there on 6 November 1846.

Death

He died on 2 August 1906 in Edinburgh. The funeral was on 5 August 1906 and preceded from Croslea, Braeside, Liberton, Edinburgh. He was buried in Warriston cemetery.[11]
