Jack Orr (10 April 1888 - 22 April 1961) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was William Orr (c. 1841 - 10 March 1936) from Fenwick, Ayrshire, a builder of fireproof structures, before becoming a shipping agent.
His mother was Margaret Ronald Scott (born c. 1846) from Brechin in Angus. William and Margaret married on 15 July 1870 in Brechin.
John McPherson Scott Orr was on 10 April 1888 at Moss Cottage, Dumbreck Road, in Ibrox, Glasgow.[3][4]
His brothers were the artists Monro Scott Orr (7 October 1874 - 29 August 1955) and Stewart Orr (21 January 1872 – 24 November 1944).[5][6]

[edit]He died on 22 April 1961 in hospital. His usual address was 112 Gaston Way, Shepperton, Surrey, England.[7]
