Pollok Sinclair Nisbet (18 October 1848 - 28 December 1922) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was John Nisbet (2 February 1819 - 27 October 1888), a house painter from Edinburgh.
His mother was Isabella Waldie (22 November 1817 -) from Earlston, Berwickshire. John and Isabella married on 28 May 1852 in Edinburgh.
Pollok Sinclair Nisbet was born on 18 October 1848 in Edinburgh.
He married the artist Helen Crockett Grieve (8 September 1856 - 23 October 1912) from West Port, Edinburgh. They married on 3 December 1879 at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh.[3]
His brother was the artist Robert Buchanan Nisbet (1 July 1857 - 15 August 1942).

[edit]He died on 28 December 1922 at 53 George Street in Edinburgh. The value of his estate was given as £263, 12 shillings and 4 pence.
