Operation Oyster was an operation involving the Rhodesian Light Infantry and the British South Africa Police in response to the shooting of a white Rhodesian couple in their car near the Nyadiri Bridge. The husband was shot in the leg and the foot, but his wife was uninjured. The operation was shut down on the 14th April, with no cadres captured, although around a dozen ZAPU sympathisers had been arrested.[1]
