The Umukabia Ogodo Autonomous Community is in the Ngor Okpala Local Government Area made up of six villages namely: Umuobasi which is the eldest of them all Umuodu Umuokperechi Umunakwo Ozara 1 Ozara 2

  Although the smallest town in Ngor Okpala, It is famously known to be very peaceful and welcoming to all Visitors.

Umukabia celebrates its Yam Festival in August annually like most South eastern towns in Nigeria. The community also celebrate the Nkwo Ala Market day with dances and merriment. The Nkwo Ala is regarded as the big market day while the Nkwo Nta is minor. The display of different masquerades are sadly no longer practised. Umukabia boasts of a Primary health care center, Missionary primary school called St Anns which is of the Catholic mission and a number of privately owned schools.
