Plot summary
[edit]Mr. Lin is a shopkeeper of a small family shop. During the Japanese invasion of China, he sells Japanese goods, but disguises them as Japanese goods are under boycott. He also pays government officials to overlook his goods. Overtime, Mr. Lin and his family suffer from more debts from the bank and private money-lenders.
