Article evaluation 6/5/2019
[edit]The article I decide to pick was the Chattahoochee River. I decide to pick this because this river is in Georgia.
Article Selection 6/15/2019
[edit]I will look for an article that needs improving.
I have selected three articles : The Ocmulgee River, Allman Brothers Band Museum, and the Tubman Museum. These are all great articles. I'm leaning more towards the Ocmulgee River. I really enjoyed chapter 5 in our books this week. This chapter was about Establishing Communicating Credibility. Also it mentioned How to have credible source, abstaining from bias and being transparent.
Practicing Citations 6/20/2019
[edit]I will be practicing my citations and adding references in my sandbox this week. My article will be the Tubman Museum
Tubman Museum Article 6/20th-28th/2019
[edit]I have added multiple headings to the Tubman Museum article. I added a History, Mission and Art's Heading. I also contributed to these topics and fixed broken links that required access dates and URL's. I will continue to update my progress in my journal.
History
[edit](see Tubman Museum for additional information regarding history)
Mission
[edit]The museum's mission is to educate people on African American culture and history. The museum has many exhibitions, programs, and publications for the general public (see Tubman Museum for additional information regarding mission)
Art
[edit]One masterpiece of art a mural called From Africa to America by contemporary Macon, Georgia artist Wilfred Stroud. The mural portrays events from Africa to American which started in the early 1619. It also offers galleries such as I Dream a World: Portraits of Black Women Who Changed America and Sankofa: A Century of African American Expression in the Decorative Arts.[2] (see Tubman Museum for additional information regarding Art)
Moving Article out of sandbox 7/06/2019
[edit]I already moved my article out of my sandbox and added to the Tubman Museum article page on Wikipedia.
I will update and look for minor mistakes that I may have missed.
Navigating the Legal Landscape 7/12-15/2018
[edit]I think understanding the legal aspect of writing is imperative for digital writers. Chapter ten in Writing and Editing for Digital Media[3] mentions; when you gather various information and publish information its important to understand your rights such as the First Amendment and the Constitution Decency Act and the protection in provides for many writers and digital writers. I think having credible sources and using proper citation and references can also help protect writers. Chapter ten in Writing and Editing for Digital Media[3] also mentions how you should obtain proper copyright permission to republish certain digital content. This is very useful information especially because I will be revising and refining my article for the Tubman Museum and looking for images.
