About Thomas Aby Watson

[edit]

Thomas Aby Watson (a.k.a Abeesh George) took charge of Media Bazaar's technical and programming division on Feb 2004. He is the one who supervised and led the team to create the first Cinema On Web multiplex technology, which enables anyone to view cinema quality multimedia contents to be viewed online, without any loss of quality or smoothness.

The developed technology is an entirely new and revolutionary method, far more superior to the regular video streaming, and Media Bazaar is the pioneer of this new generation streaming method.

The company, after knowing the great potential of this developed new technology (named COW Technology), started to give their services to major film studios and TV Stations, taking them to the next level of media broadcasting on internet. The company, to extend its vision and ingenuity, came forward with the innovative idea of "Giving the power of broadcasting to the general public", thus giving the digital media industry in the hands of common people. Thomas Aby Watson (a.k.a Abeesh George) is the team lead who developed, with his team of programmers, the company's idea into an easy to use software called "My Go COW Go".

My Go COW Go Software Briefing

[edit]

My Go COW Go software has been designed and implemented in such a way that even a 7 year old or a seventy year old can use and navigate it with ease. Any one can showcase their media content, concerts, live shows, radio and TV contents in their own free online multiplex, completely customized for them. They got the option to show their contents for free or for a fee, and they can collect the payments online too, and all these in just two steps. All the complicated process of encoding, secure payment processing, multiplex customizations, uploading, tracking, sales reporting etc will be taken care by the My Go COW Go software from behind the scenes, presenting the user with an easy-to-use interface.

My Go COW Go consists of Multiple Windows 2003 Server NT services, running on multiple Streaming and download servers (geographically forwards clients to the nearest server in the CDN) capable of tracking individual client's streaming/download bandwidth/Updates usage and storage/Cutoff limit/online payment processing/customized web portal generation for each client.

The whole infrastructure, hosted in managed server farms of SAVVIS, has been built using .NET, WMEncoder SDK, custom made WM server Plug-ins (for custom usage monitoring), auto backup/replication. Heavily depends on Web Services, Remoting, Secure communications, SFTP and distributed processing.

Deployment to end users is done after obfuscation and encryption for added protection. All the assemblies are capable of auto-updating when a newer version is available.

Thomas Aby Watson (a.k.a Abeesh George) also led the design, development, and implementation of DRM/license acquisition via ASP.NET/C#/Web Services for WMV and DivX open video system (Encrypted DivX videos).

Thomas Aby Watson (a.k.a Abeesh George) is currently developing a .NET open video system, similar to the workings of bit-torrent, by which any common man can make his PC into a Multiplex & Live Broadcasting station. This new application is being targeted for Windows Vista, and its next generation presentation layer.
