Why I think kids who have ADHD should have more help during school.Hi my name is Effie and I am 12 years old,a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD I didn't really care but I did not like taking the medicine and I still don't I just don't see the difference when I do and don't have it,but lets stay on topic. This year I started grade seven and lets just say I loved it at first but know I don't because of school work,I find it so hard and well I know lots of other people who don't have it get the help that I need, like I may not look like I need help and test results may not show that I need help but trust me I need help!I am in the lowest level math class and I still don't understand how to add up the perimeter or area and lots of other things even though we learned it even in my normal class we are doing it but I never get the answers right.I find a lot of math and other school things hard, but what I really don't think is fair is that when it was Autism Awareness or month the school celebrated it,but in October it was ADHD Awareness month, nothing they didn't even care. But what is the purpose that I am writing this for is I want people to listen to me and this is what I want anyone to remember,No one is normal,no one is perfect,I am not smart,I need help. Now I know not everyone who has ADHD would need what I just said but truly speak up,I wouldn't though because I don't feel brave but writing this did I am going to speak up and ask for help.I want everyone who has ADHD or just anyone in general to remember that you are doing great and your doing the best you can,and everyone who doesn't and may be against this,us people with ADHD are trying our best.
