Hi, I'm Aaron. To summarize why I'm here is to quote from the Harvard's guide to using sources: What's Wrong with Wikipedia?
"The fact that Wikipedia is not a reliable source for academic research doesn't mean that it's wrong to use basic reference materials when you're trying to familiarize yourself with a topic.(when the stakes are low). When you're doing academic research, you should be extremely cautious about using Wikipedia."
As its own disclaimer states, information on Wikipedia is contributed by anyone who wants to post material, and the expertise, (motives or pathology) of the posters is not taken into consideration. I'm not on the fence about this either. Harvard's comment is precisely true. Wikipedia is a toxic culture. A minefield of lies. A deceiver's playground. Really a poor example of virtuousness. Okay so most of the information is true, but on key points where disinformation has profit motive Wikipedia stands on one leg. Supported by alms, it shares a weakness with every other non profit in the world. sycophantic, craven, ass kissing. So for money it represents mediocre dubious or patently falsified facts. Besides frequent glaring ommisions these supposed facts are industry sponsored lies that destroy the health, credibility and opportunities of the fools who believe them. The damage is really quite massive with world religion, disease prevention and politics bearing the brunt of smirking hacks who desire notoriety, the personal vendetta, and a rich worldly outcome. I'm not an evil lowlife scum who lies for a buck, nor should be Wikipedia. I don't fabricate facts from false sources that support my arbitrary claims either. Nor do I use it as a pedantic pulpit of cupidity where from to discredit God or his laws. nor his prophets nor saints. I'm actually offended by the articles I read in Wikipedia because I see right through their bullshit. The instances of evil are common, numerous, ubiquitous and I am really truly seriously disgusted by this. Even if I'm not allowed a single meaningful edit in this remarkable reference resource, I will still believe it could be something worthy, novel, and truly sacred.
