[edit]I'm a high school and college student in Washington State. I enjoy playing Basketball and football in my free time, but also play competitively on teams. Basketball helps build endurance, improves balance and coordination, and develops concentration and self-discipline.[1] While I enjoy football and basketball, I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my friends. I feel like my friends and I get closer and have a great time when we go on adventures together. More about me: I would love to pursue a career in business, after high school.
My Wikipedia interests
[edit]I use Wikipedia a lot for assignments in classes. I never found myself editing pages or browsing pages as often as I will be, this year. I hope to become more involved in Wikipedia and learn more on how to use it. I hope to maybe find something that interests me that I never thought of before. Although this is all new to me, I hope to become smarter in editing on Wikipedia, and maybe begin a project on this, in the future. I will embrace this new skill, and hopefully, become very strong as an editor on Wikipedia.
Article Evaluation
[edit]I've been interested in shoes (sneakers) and their style for quite a few years. I enjoy buying shoes and I know the different types of styles of sneakers. I wanted to make the Wikipedia page to be as good as it can be, so I visited the Sneakers page on Wikipedia and found three aspects of the page that I could improve, and those three aspects are the uses, types of models, and the culture of sneakers.
Uses of Sneakers
[edit]The uses for sneakers displayed are very minimal. In fact, they only have one use for sneakers, and that is running. Not all types of sneakers are used for running. Sneakers can be used to relax in, play basketball, or do many other activities other than running. That said, there are many different uses for sneakers that are not on this page.
Models
[edit]This page lists different models, but they do not have any information to describe the different models. This page has the names of the different types of models, but does not have any examples of the models, or a definition of what the model looks like. This article could be more in-depth with the different model types. If the article had more information to describe the models, then this section would be complete.
Sneaker Culture
[edit]This page does not have an updated sneaker culture section. The sneaker culture section of this page does not have any recent information. The most recent piece of information on this page is dated in 2005. This page needs to update the last 15 years of how the sneaker culture has changed and how the newer styles of sneakers and shoes have changed the sneaker culture.
Summary
[edit]All in all, I would say that this page is just okay. I believe that they need to update their page and add more information. If the page was updated to a more recent year, then I believe that there would be more information on the culture of sneakers. They had insufficient information in some aspects of the article, and with more information then the page could significantly improve.
