User:A Nobody/Featured editors
Appearance
I originally proposed the idea at Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Archive 46#My proposal: Good and Featured...Editors.21 and am now working on a draft to expand on the idea, which is itself an expansion or more formalization of these nice userspace ideas:
- Today
- User:Phaedriel/Today/Archive: April 30, 2007-September 28, 2007
- User:Rlevse/Today/Archive: October 12, 2008-April 1, 2009
- User:Dylan620/Today#Today.27s_Wikipedians: March 22, 2009-April 1, 2009
Purpose
[edit]- 1) To reward and recognize the efforts of our contributors per Wikipedia:Editors matter.
- 2) To encourage future potential editors by showcasing what Wikipedians can achieve.
- 3) In both cases, an overarching goal is to add to a collegial environment that assists in our ability to improve content.
Idea 1: Feature editors who have achieved enough in their real lives to merit actual articles
[edit]Examples: See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles
Idea 2: Feature editors who have been supported more than 200 times in an RfA or other such "vote" that succeeded
[edit]Examples: See Wikipedia:Times that 200 or more Wikipedians supported something
Idea 3: Feature editors with most GA, FA, or DYK credits
[edit]Examples: Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of DYKs
