Works
[edit]Aykut Erol, the designer of sincere, simple, environmentally friendly and accessible products, has created a furniture system in 2004 called "Line" consisting of a single continuous metal wire. He took part in many international publications with his “Line” furniture system and won the 2006 İstanbul Design Week - “The Most Successful Design of the Year and 2008 Good Design awards. Line was also nominated for the Designpreis Deutschland by the German Design Council in 2010. In 2011, Line was purchased by the MARTa Herford museum for permanent collections.

The storage system named Wall (2010) changes the definition of the cabinet with its extraordinary use of metal and also functions as a separation in the space used with its eye-catching exterior design and colors.
The thin and light armchair design, named Lit (2008), provides optimum comfort in both home and office environment.
Grass V1 (2007), which questions the concept of the bench again, has an aesthetic appearance with its fluent form design.
Designed as outdoor furniture, Grass V2 (2008) offers a different experience to users with its sculptural appearance similar to grass.
In 2007, he was cited by Elle Decor International and design critic Andree Putman as one of the 23 followed designers in the world, including Marcell Wanders and Zaha Hadid.
He worked with companies such as Philips, Panasonic, Vestel, Toshiba, Casio, Dow and Maxell. His product designs were exhibited internationally in major trade shows.
Philosophy
[edit]Sincerity in design
[edit]The sincerity of emotion, intent and presentation touches the hearts of every person. But what exactly defines sincerity in design? And how can you achieve this? There is no other formula for sincerity than to be faithful, to be fair, and to simply design for the needs. Financial concerns destroy the ability to be sincere because your attention is always focused on protecting and increasing your material assets. Instead, it is always more valuable to find ways to bring love and goodness in your heart to other people.
Talking vases
[edit]Aykut Erol has adopted the philosophy of sincerity in design since 2003 and expressed the philosophy with his talking vases products, designed in 2009, which were exhibited in MARTa Herford museum and Museum der Dinge.
