From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For when one sandbox isn't enough, there needs to be a sandbox 2!

Introduction/summary

[edit]

This sandbox page, as of 06:52, 20 December 2022 (UTC), showcases three different template styles and layouts for how tech products (e.g. CPUs, GPUs) could be listed. Ryzen desktop CPUs are being particularly used for demonstration here, but these tables could be about anything tech product related, not just desktop computer CPUs.

Template layout 1 is copied from the actual Ryzen desktop CPU templates as-it-is, as of 18 November 2022. Only changes are HEDT/Workstation CPUs are split up from the mainstream desktop CPUs (Ryzen 3000), or deleted (Ryzen 5000).

Template layout 2 replaces the coloured horizontal branding headers with vertical branding headers, while leaving everything else alone.

Template layout 3 moves common information out of the table, into a bullet list above the table. This idea takes inspiration from Intel CPU articles like Raptor Lake, as well as this short-lived previous revision of the Ryzen 7000 series template, alongside some ideas from Talk:Zen 4.

Check this version out for a version of the page where for template layouts 2 and 3, the product models are also made headings (and therefore bold text, grey background for the product model names).

Template layout 1 (horizontal branding headers, common info in table)
