Simon Peter Kinobe is a Ugandan lawyer, and teacher who served as President of the Uganda Law Society between 2018 and 2019.
Background and education
[edit]Kinobe attended Makerere High School, Migadde[1]. He later proceeded to Makerere University to and graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law Development Centre, Kampala and as of 2019, it was reported that he was pursuing a Masters in Energy Law and Policy at the University of Dundee , Scotland[2].
Career
[edit]Kinobe served as a founding and managing partner of KMT Advocates .
He contested for and won the presidency of Uganda Law Society .
Senior Inspectorate Officer at the Inspectorate of Government (Uganda).
Lecturer of Law at Kampala International University
Between 2018 and 2019, Kinobe served as President of Uganda Law Society.He was preceded by Francis Gimara and succeeded by Pheona Wall[3].
Politics
[edit]Kinobe contested and lost against Pius Wakabi for National Resistance Movement flagbearer for the Bughaya Constituency seat in 2020[4][5].
