Tuck Buckford is a character played by Stephen Colbert inspired by controversial conservative talk radio host Alex Jones. Segments of The Late Show featuring him are portrayed as archived footage from before his show Colbert Report. The character is portrayed as the host of a talk show called Brain Fight with Tuck Buckford.[1]
Non-fictional elements
[edit]During Brain Fight, Tuck Buckford has complained about not having custody of his children due to perceptions that he is unhinged and forgets simple facts about his kids, blaming it on the chili he eats, claiming it was spiked with hormones by FEMA. This is a reference to Alex Jones' custody battle with his wife Kelly Jones, where she alleged he is unstable and couldn't remember information about his kids.[2][3]
