Catherine Gicheru is a Kenyan journalist and investigator. Her works in the media industry has been positively impacting across Africa and beyond, a veteran media personality of laudable achievements [1]
Career
[edit]Catherine, arguably one of the most populous female figures in news media Africa, a powerful woman with a positive influence in the news media across the continent of Africa and her works are laudable as her awards and honors stand as proof to her many achievements since the start of her career as a journalist[2][3]. Catherine, a veteran with decades of media coverage and publications to her name - most of which are as an investigative editor, covering local politics in Kenya[4]. . An outstanding fellow of ICFJ Knights, Catherine is advancing data journalism and being at the forefront of combating disinformation across Africa through Code for Africa, a non-profit civic tech and and media innovation[5].

Her works cuts across working with professionals and also with students, as she enlightens everyone about the importance of facts and data accuracy in news report; avoiding dis and misinformation[10]
